the laugh of a three year old
the words of a seven year old
in sunlight streaming in the window
toys lined up
joy
simple gifts
to be seen.

live
with eyes
awake
with heart
that feels
with senses
alive
wanting to embrace

today tomorrow milk spilled on the floor but that doesn't matter
moments.
today
breathe deep
breathe of the life
you are blessed to live
hug on your family
just a bit more
savor the gift of those around you
unconditional love
and slow down
to celebrate
today
as it
is the only
day
of
today
that you
will
ever be
blessed to live.

it is easy to forget things at this busy time of the year!
Love this- plan on linking up in the future. Beautiful photos and blog :)
Thank you, Sally.
Beautiful,
Exactly what I have been hearing from God. SLOW down. Savour each moment. Be alert to my voice.
Speak slowly and carefully.
Blessings,

I also blog at Under the Cover of Prayer.
This post is amazing. One of my biggest life goals is to slow down and appreciate! In the hustle and bustle it's so easy to forget.. One thing I need to slow down and appreciate is my fiances family. They have been so supportive of me in my recent hardships that sometimes I just see it as "normal" now, but it's not really. Their love for me has truly gone above and beyond. Have a great weekend!
I really, REALLY needed this today. Thanks so much for your kind words and encouragement today and always.
So I don't know how many ways I can say how stunning I find your photos. The first one is incredible. Your family will cherish them for a lifetime.
I've included your blog in a post. You are also invited to participate in a Holiday post. Join in, if you can. http://taoofpoop.blogspot.com/2012/12/ive-been-tagged-and-its-catching.html
I try to wake up each day with the "I get to" attitude instead of the "I have to do laundry, make my kids breakfast, and clean up." I do believe that it is these simple I get to moments will be the ones I will miss someday.
man, it must still be early here in MN because rereading what I typed above is a mess.
It is supposed to say:
I try to wake up each day with the "I get to" attitude instead of the "I have to do laundry, make my kids breakfasts, and clean up" attitude. I do believe that it is these simple "I get to" moments that will be the ones I will miss someday the most.
beautiful as always! May we take time to savor each moment! Thanks for hosting & God bless!
Today was supposed to be church work and a long walk with the dog...ended up babysitting two of my grands, errands with my husband and dinner out! Then walking the dog and the church work...
Praying right now!
Psalms 71:1-3 In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion. Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me. Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress.

Beautiful sentiments. I need to take more everyday pictures to help me to remember to savor the little moments.
Some of my favorite things today include Ephesians, my Friday "group" and having a quiet lunch out with my husband.
Hello. And Bye. Thank you very much.
